Col. Michael Seek

COL Mike Seek enlisted in the Missouri Army National Guard in 1994 as a combat engineer.  He received his commission in 1999 through the University of Missouri-Columbia ROTC program.
      COL Seek is currently dual hatted as the Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff (DCJS), Missouri National Guard and Commander, 35th Engineer Brigade.
      His previous assignments include: J1, Missouri National Guard; Commander, 203rd Engineer Battalion; Deputy Commander, 70th Troop Command; Executive Officer, 35th Engineer Brigade; S3, 203rd Engineer Battalion; Deputy State Training Officer, Missouri Army National Guard; USAREUR Action Officer, ARNG Operations Division; Security Force OIC, 935th Agri-business Development Team; Commander, 1141st Engineer Company (Sapper); Commander, 880th Engineer Company (Dump Truck); Executive Officer, Company A 203rd Engineer Battalion; and Platoon Leader, Company A 110th Engineer Battalion.
      COL Seek’s operational assignments include deployments with the 203rd Engineer Battalion in support of the Southwest Border mission, the 35th Engineer Brigade in support of Operation Spartan Shield, the 935th Agri-business Development Team in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and Company A 203rd Engineer Battalion in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
      COL Seek earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a master’s Degrees from Kansas State University and the United States Naval War College.  His military education includes Senior Service College; HQDA Strategic Broadening Seminar; Intermediate Level Education; Engineer Captains Career Course, and Engineer Officer Basic Course. 
      COL Seek’s awards, decorations, and badges include: the Bronze Star Medal; Defense Meritorious Service Medal; Meritorious Service Medal; Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal; Air Assault Badge, Army Staff Identification Badge, and the Bronze Order of the de Fleury Medal.
